Job Description
Gymkhana are seeking a Floor Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable and passionate about all things food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Floor Manager looking for a new role in an award winning, critically acclaimed group.
The Restaurant
Located in Mayfair, Gymkhana is inspired by the bars, social, sports and members’ clubs of the British Raj in India and serves contemporary Indian cuisine using seasonal British ingredients with a strong focus on the tandoori oven. Opened in 2013, Gymkhana went on to win its first Michelin star, and in 2024 the second Michelin star becoming the first Indian restaurant in London to ever hold a pair. Restaurant Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year and BMW Square Meal Restaurant of the Year in 2014. “Gymkhana is the best restaurant I have ever been to.” Giles Coren, The Times.
This year, Gymkhana was awarded a second Michelin Star, having held one Michelin Star for the past ten years. In 2014, Gymkhana won Best Restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards and BMW Square Meal Restaurant of the Year.
The Position
We're looking for a Floor Manager with a fine dining/Michelin Star background and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As Floor Manager you will be overseeing waiting staff to ensure the smooth running of all sections, as well as lead, train and inspire the team. The successful Floor Manager will have a warm and welcoming persona, along with a hands-on approach to work and impeccable attention to detail.
The Successful Floor Manager will have:
Prior experience as a Floor Manager or Restaurant Supervisor within a high-quality restaurant;
Eagerness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in;
A creative approach with impeccable attention to detail;
Passion for about food and hospitality, along with the eagerness to continually learn;
The desire to develop your career within an ambitious and trend-setting restaurant group;
