They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy plant machinery at customer locations, including excavators, loaders, and other industrial equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal machinery performance.
Provide scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
Maintain detailed service reports and complete all necessary paperwork efficiently.
Develop strong working relationships with customers by delivering high levels of service and technical support.
Adhere to health and safety standards during all service operations.
Manage your time effectively and work independently across the assigned region. Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or a similar role, ideally with experience working on heavy plant machinery or construction equipment.
Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in plant / mechanical engineering related course.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service jobs in a timely manner.
Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
