Our client is a major global travel company, with global offices, London being the HQ. World leaders in their field, they provide services for the group tour market from many destinations to many destinations.
As a Market Manager/Travel Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and expanding our sales teams efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include nurturing client relationships, managing inquiries, market research & business development, and contributing to our sales objectives. This position requires a blend of client-facing interactions and operational support, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in a versatile and dynamic setting.
Your B2B client base will be USA and UK and your role will involve travel to see clients, attend trade shows and industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage and prioritize group inquiries, ensuring prompt, precise responses and exemplary customer service
Prepare and deliver accurate quotations in a timely manner, proactively following up to secure business and meet sales targets.
Monitor and manage budgets, evaluate hotel options, and adhere to task deadlines, ensuring financial and operational objectives are met.
Engage in operational tasks as required to ensure the seamless delivery of services, contributing to overall operational excellence
Support the accounts department with credit control queries, facilitating smooth financial operations
Work collaboratively with various departments to address customer requests and resolve issues effectively, ensuring a cohesive and responsive service experience.
Cultivate and sustain strong, strategic relationships with clients through both phone and face-to-face interactions, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and long-term partnership.
Travel as needed to meet with clients, building and nurturing business relationships to drive growth and retention.
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in sales or tour operations (B2B or B2C) is advantageous.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, maintaining high standards of work.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to adjust strategies and approaches as needed.
Strong organizational and time management capabilities, ensuring efficient handling of multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail, allowing for effective resolution of issues and challenges
Extensive knowledge and understanding of European destinations combined with a solid understanding of key global regions outside of Europe.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage these tools for analysis, reporting, and presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
You must have experience in business development and experience of quoting group tours the quotations side is fully supported by a full time Quotations team but you will handle first enquiries from new clients, or complicated itineraries.
