Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Finance Project Manager to join the Finance Team on a fixed-term contract – available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) to August 2025. The role is part-time, working 8.00am-5.00pm three days per week. The successful candidate’s working week totals 24.75 hours and equates to a salary range of £35,304 - £37,851 per annum (ESMS Support Staff L Scale). The role is based across both sites at Ravelston and Queensferry Road, with the opportunity to work from home.

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of both day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc project work within ESMS's finance function and will include such duties as:

  • Supporting the Head of Finance in revamping budgeting, reporting, and VAT implementation processes.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure consistency and enhance data, reporting, and management information.
  • Assisting with developing controls for procurement, refining purchase order processes, and providing ad-hoc support to the Finance team as needed.

The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant or one qualified by having at least 5 years of experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders. They must be self-motivated, possess strong analytical abilities, and be able to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
