Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with our Conveyancers to manage client enquiries, draft relevant documents, and ensure compliance for smooth property transactions
Serve as the primary point of contact for enquiries, delivering excellent customer service to new and existing clients
Conduct initial matter set-up procedures, including producing instruction confirmation letters, updating central records, and entering entities and capacities on new client/matter files
Provide efficient and effective support to the Conveyancers
Ensure adherence to all appropriate quality service and compliance requirements
Collate and complete due diligence in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering Regulations where required
Handle routine client telephone enquiries, ensuring all necessary information and details are obtained to meet file opening requirements
Legal Assistant Requirements:
Prior experience in an administrative role (property transaction experience is ideal but not essential)
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Commitment to working within a quality standard environment
Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new systems
Excellent teamwork skills and collaborative mindset
Availability to work daily in the Taunton office
