Job Description
TeacherActive is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the SEND team of one of our partner schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a heart for education and a commitment to inclusive learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
Work closely with the SENDCo and classroom teachers to implement personalised learning plans.
Help students with academic tasks, social skills, and emotional development.
Support students with any physical or medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Promote independence and confidence in all aspects of learning.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an SEND setting.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
An understanding of SEND strategies and the ability to differentiate tasks accordingly.
