What you'll be doing;

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the commercial development of our Fleet Electrification and Energy Flexibility activities, both internally and externally. This will require a strong understanding of these markets and Veolia's current positioning in them, supporting the business development strategy and executing it. The role holder will have an account management responsibility for our existing accounts, while developing in tandem our customer base and our offering to increase revenue and profits.

The remit of this role will be across all business units of Veolia UK (Municipal, Treatment, Commercial and Industry) with a strong focus on cross-selling our services to existing customers by closely engaging with account managers, contract managers, BDMs and their respective portfolios.

Prepare our electrification and flexibility offerings for each customer segment identified, and continually refine them so they are adapted to the expectations of each

Inform account managers and contract managers of our electrification and flexibility offering so they can effectively explain it to their customers

Engage with our customers across all BUs (Municipal, Treatment, IWE, Commercial) and gather feedback for improvement

Drive commercial discussions with each customer up to contract signature

Build and maintain a sound commercial strategy aligned with our BD strategy

Engage with new customers for Veolia when strong opportunities or segments are identified

Engage with key industry partners or contractors to strengthen and further develop our offers and competitiveness

Explore and apply for relevant grants or other financing solutions for our services or for innovation projects

Work closely with each BU's business development teams to include our services where possible as a differentiator

Monitor the market and policies of the sector, and engage with the policy, comms and strategy teams where relevant

What we're looking for;

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, energy or any related field

Relevant experience in the energy industry

3+ years of previous experience in a sales, business development or similar role with client exposure

Track record negotiating and executing deals

Willing and able to travel in the UK and Europe when required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience collaborating with multiple teams on simultaneous projects

Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and project management skills

Organised individual with ability to work towards tight deadlines
