Job Description
Our client is a renowned leader dedicated to producing high-quality products and continuously optimising its manufacturing processes. With a focus on operational excellence and innovation, the company seeks to streamline production efficiency and meet customer demand. As part of its expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Production Planning Manager with expertise in ERP systems and value stream planning to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources to meet production targets and customer demand as the Production Planning Manager.
* Utilise ERP systems to track production progress, material availability, and inventory levels, ensuring accurate and timely data for the Production Planning Manager role.
* Drive value stream planning, analysing and improving the end-to-end production process to increase efficiency and eliminate waste, a key focus for the Production Planning Manager.
* Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, ensuring seamless workflows as the Production Planning Manager.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components, managing lead times effectively as the Production Planning Manager.
* Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key metrics and identifying areas for improvement, critical to the Production Planning Manager.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Production Planning Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) focused on production planning and scheduling.
* Expertise in value stream planning and process optimisation, with a strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
