Job Description
Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading global food manufacturer that has an exciting opportunity for a Category Development Manager to deliver category growth and become the go-to category partner of choice.
Responsibilities:
- Be a voice for the category within the business; keep up to date on shopper, retailer and category trends through continued research and market analysis.
- Provide category leadership by developing and implementing plans to deliver growth in specific categories.
- Work closely with the Buying teams to help optimise ranges, and look at distribution, space, location, promotions and availability of categories.
- Interpret various data and provide high-quality analysis.
- Support the innovation process and adopt a spirit of continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Major retail experience.
- Understanding of the UK Market.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to coherently summarise to senior teams.
- Relationship skills, experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive thinker, able to work to a brief but also generate own insights and analysis.
