Parts Technician -LHR

Job Description
Role - Parts Technician
Shift - Monday - Friday
Main Purpose of The Job:
This role covers the stores environment to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials,
fluids, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. The Stores
Person will be trained in all aspects of day to day activities that take place in a busy stores environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Materials Issue
1. To identify and understand the requirement of the technician
2. Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
3. Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
4. Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly
5. Purchase from local suppliers as and when required
6. Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations
7. Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day to day business)
8. Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required
9. Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status
Goods Inward
1.Check and Receipt of deliveries to site
2. Unload delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner
3. Drive company Fork Lift Truck (dependent on licence)
4. Day to day organisation of a goods received quarantine area
5. Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments
6. New stock items to be located and labelled as required
Stock Control
1. Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ELC inventory
2. Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always
3. Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
4. Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight
