Mac Operator – Large & Small Format Print Company

Based near Lewisham, SE6

We are an established large and small format digital printer in London, delivering exceptional print services to a wide range of business sectors across the UK. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mac Operator to join our team, filling a key role following the retirement of a valued team member.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of production briefs from sales teams and clients, ensuring all specifications are understood and translated into accurate, actionable print files.

Examine supplied files to confirm they are fit for print production, adjusting and preparing large format files to meet specific installation requirements.

•

Create CAD drawings using Adobe Illustrator plugins, based on surveys and images provided by our installation teams.

•

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and logistics, to optimise workflow, resolve print-related issues, and ensure excellent client satisfaction.

About You:

Previous experience in a Mac operator role within the print, signage, or large format graphics industry.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

•

Proficient with Adobe Suite products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Pitstop Pro, with knowledge of Switch workflows and basic networking skills.

•

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Ability to work on multiple deadlines, whilst working under pressure.

Willing to support paid overtime hours when needed

Preparation of print-ready files from artworks supplied by clients in various formats.

Creating cutter guides, setting-up white ink layers and other ink-layered artworks.
