Personal Injury EL / PL Litigated File Handler

Job Purpose:

Working in our litigated Retail team in our stylish Liverpool office, this role offers a diverse opportunity to work on a mixed caseload for high profile corporate and insurance clients. The successful candidate will handle a caseload of litigated EL and PL cases.

This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week. You will work from our Liverpool office and hybrid working of 1 day per week in the office applies.

Key Accountabilities:

As a File Handler you will be responsible for the day-to-day handling of a litigated caseload of EL and PL cases, subject to supervision according to Keoghs competency framework, to include:

1. Building relationships with Keoghs clients.
2. Assessing and advising on liability and quantum.
3. Devising strategies to resolve cases with the best possible outcome, identifying areas to investigate and evidence to collate.
4. Dealing with disclosure.
5. Proofing witnesses and preparing detailed witness statements.
6. Marshalling expert evidence.
7. Working with the wider team to ensure a seamless delivery of services to Keoghs clients.
8. Ensure compliance with quality standards

Working Hours:

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Proven experience of handling litigated EL and PL cases with a value of up to £25,000.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Strong IT skills and experience of working with a case management system.
• An ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A willingness to change and adapt in order to deliver the best results for our clients.

Compensation package:
