AV Service Engineer

Job Description
Due to our client expansion, they are looking to recruit a Service AV Engineer to join their team in their Reading office.
Whilst previous AV experience is desired, this is not an essential requirement; you will have experience of working in a field-based role; this position will involve UK travel as a daily/core element predominantly covering the South of the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
The position will be supporting our large client base with their Audio-Visual technology on a service basis and supporting our Installations team, dually actioning light warehouse duties on a daily basis.
Overtime rate at time and a third + paid travel.
AV Service Engineer duties include, but are not limited to:
- Travelling to client site as required.
- Replacing DMB equipment, internal and external.
- Fault finding through to resolve.
- Reporting back to service and maintenance team.
Warehouse duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving and shipping deliveries on an ad hoc basis
- Regular stock checking and maintaining levels of stock
- Preparing outgoing job kits and ensuring kit is available for engineers to collect
- Nominal inventory of full warehouse stock
- General maintenance of warehouse space
Essential Requirements:
• Experience within a similar role working to strict SLA’s.
• Experience working in a field-based engineering role, across multiple site locations.
• Experience of using power tools and hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills, able to use initiative and professionalism.
• Experience of working within a team and individually.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Ability to commute to Reading daily.
Desired Requirements:
• Experience of Digital Signage, Projectors, Video walls, LED.
• Warehouse Responsibilities.
• Knowledge of AV systems
• Survey & Specification
Skills Required:
• Good PC knowledge
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of networks.
• CSCS/ECS Card
