Escalator Maintenance Engineer

My client is a major industry-leading contractor specialising in escalator and lift maintenance, installation, and modernisation. Based in London, it is renowned for its commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation and prides itself on delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards in the industry.

Due to new contract awards, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Escalator Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of escalators across various sites in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work with a leading company and further their career in the escalator and lift industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of escalators to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of escalators.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Escalator Maintenance Engineer or similar role within the escalator and lift industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems related to escalators.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in escalator maintenance.
