Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Garment Technologist to join our team. The ideal individual will have a strong background in production, sourcing, and product development within the fashion industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from concept development to delivery, ensuring product quality, compliance, and timely execution.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage fabric and trims: Source materials, manage inventory, and ensure sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create accurate tech packs: Develop detailed tech packs for production, including sizing and grading.
  • Lead fit sessions and support product development: Collaborate with design and merchandising to bring concepts to life, sourcing materials that meet quality standards and within budget.
  • Ensure effective communication: Maintain clear communication with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Guarantee product quality: Implement QC procedures and coordinate testing to meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships: Develop and maintain supplier manuals and ensure compliance with ethical sourcing practices.


Person profile - capabilities, proficiency, experience:

  • A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a garment technologist or similar role in the retail industry.
  • Experience with fit sessions, pattern making, and garment fitting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.
  • Proficiency in PLM and ERP systems, with experience in production planning and sample management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of ethical sourcing practices, compliance standards, and factory management.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
