The team are seeking a talented Head Chef to lead the culinary team at a prestigious dining establishment, located near the Welsh border. This exceptional role offers the chance to work closely with a kitchen garden, incorporating fresh, home-grown ingredients into sophisticated dishes.

Head Chef Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within a 2 AA Rosette (or higher) environment
• A strong passion for culinary arts, particularly in using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
• Demonstrable experience in menu planning, cost management, and inventory control
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of culinary professionals
• Creative culinary skills with a commitment to innovation and quality

Head Chef Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the kitchen team to produce high-quality dishes that meet and exceed guest expectations
• Develop innovative menus that highlight local and seasonal ingredients from the kitchen garden
• Ensure efficient operation of the kitchen, including staffing, cost controls, and resource management
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
• Collaborate with suppliers and local producers to ensure the highest quality of ingredients
• Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the culinary team
