A successful, small alternative provision PRU school in Croydon are looking for a Maths teacher for their KS3 campus
The school cater to permanently excluded young people and provide short term intervention programs catered to each student who are struggling to learn in a mainstream environment
Class sizes are extremely small and there is a wealth of resources and lessons provided
Students have access to many activities both indoor and outdoor to promote independence, safety and re engagement into a mainstream environment The Maths Teacher Vacancy
To start after the half term, the Maths teacher will have strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum
The Maths Teacher post is being on a temporary to permanent basis with the school open to applications from ECTs and experienced teachers from mainstream or special schools.

The successful Maths Teacher applicant will be working with an established, hard-working and highly adaptable team and will have learning mentors with them in the class.
The team is very friendly and have a great understanding of the needs and characteristics of the children in class.

All Maths Teacher applicants must have QTS.
Strong behaviour management
Have a passion for teaching students who struggle with mainstream school
Experience teaching within an alternative provisions environment or a secondary school environment
A good understanding of the KS3 Mathematics curriculum
The ability to prepare and teach effective lessons taking into account the individual needs of learners.
A creative approach to lesson planning.
A patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
Strong communication and team leadership skills.
