Senior CAD Technician – Job Description/ Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Tech to join their civil engineering team with expertise in Civils and / or water industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and finalising detailed engineering drawings using software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD. The candidate should have a strong background in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Civil works and water industry.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed and accurate engineering drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Provide technical support to engineering teams and project managers on design and drafting matters
Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
Review and check drawings created by other team members for accuracy and completeness
Work collaboratively with other team members to resolve design issues and achieve project goals
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and software advancements to improve design and drafting processes
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files and documentation
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and contractors Senior CAD Technician - What my client will need from you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on temporary works and water industry (desirable)
Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve design issues Senior CAD Technician - In return
