Project Manager - Agile/Waterfall Methodology

Job Title : Project Manager Location : Bangalore Experience : 8-12 years of relevant experience Industry : Telecom IT Job Overview : We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Programme Manager with a strong background in managing complex projects in both agile and waterfall methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading diverse teams through the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, while ensuring that key project goals are met within the stipulated time, cost, and quality parameters. Key Roles & Responsibilities : - Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key sponsors, Programme Managers, and stakeholders. Understand their priorities and align project goals accordingly. - Project Deliverables : Develop and agree on a list of deliverables as defined by the Decision Review Board or Programme Manager. Ensure timely delivery while adhering to cost and quality standards. Team Leadership : Motivate and lead the project or workstream team through uncertain phases, ensuring clarity of purpose and managing pressure effectively. Report barriers and obstacles to enable completion of team objectives. - Communication : Create and deliver clear, impactful communications for all project stakeholders. Tailor messages to different audiences to ensure clarity and buy-in. - Resilience and Recovery : Help the team remain resilient and focused, especially after setbacks, and guide them in recovering performance to meet project milestones. - Risk Management : Identify, assess, and report risks at the project level. Make timely recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize project value. - Collaboration : Enable collaboration between business IT, impacted business units, and wider stakeholders. Ensure seamless resolution of issues related to financing, risk, resources, and planning. - Integrated Planning : Oversee the long-term management of any resulting products and services from the project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and future needs. Technical Skills Required : - Project Management Methodologies : Strong experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies. In-depth understanding of PM Life Cycle, SDLC, and Scrum. - Project Management Tools : Proficiency with project management tools and techniques, such as Project Charters, WBS, Gantt Charts, etc. - Documentation and Reporting : Well-versed in SoWs (Statement of Work), Proposals, Scheduling, Budgeting, RFQs, RFPs, etc. - Technology Acumen : Familiarity with software-as-a-service (SaaS) and digital platforms. Ability to work with IT teams and understand technical implications of business solutions. Certifications : PMP, Prince2, and Agile certifications are mandatory. Soft Skills Required : - Leadership : Ability to lead diverse teams through ambiguity, providing motivation and guidance. Effective in decision-making and conflict resolution. - Communication : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Capable of delivering clear, concise updates to stakeholders and team members. - Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking : Ability to think critically, especially when handling unexpected challenges, and to make informed decisions that add value to the project. - Resilience : Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and guide the team to recover from setbacks. - Stakeholder Management : Strong skills in managing diverse stakeholder groups and balancing competing priorities. - Entrepreneurial Mindset : Understand the broader business value and impact of the project, with a focus on enabling value creation through innovative thinking and problem-solving. - Collaboration and Relationship Building : Adept at fostering collaboration across teams and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
