Power BI Developer - Data Visualization

Position : Power BI Developer Experience : 3 years Notice Period : Immediate Joiner-30 days Location : Pune Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, exceptional SQL skills, and proficiency in DAX or M language. You will be responsible for designing and developing insightful reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support key business decisions. Key Responsibilities : Report Development : - Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics. - Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. Data Management & Transformation : - Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Implement and maintain data models, including relationships, calculations, and measures in Power BI. Data Warehousing & Integration : - Design and optimize data warehouse structures to support efficient reporting. - Integrate Power BI reports with various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, etc.). Performance Optimization : - Monitor and improve performance of Power BI reports and dashboards. - Ensure efficient data refresh schedules and handle large datasets effectively. Collaboration & Documentation : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data-driven decision-making. - Document business and technical requirements and solutions. Skills & Qualifications : Technical Expertise : - Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service (Cloud), and Power BI Report Server. - Proficient in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Language for advanced calculations and query transformations. - Expertise in SQL with hands-on experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance. - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Data Modeling : - Experience with data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema) and building relationships between data & Analysis : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Soft Skills : - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users and technical teams. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with Power Query. - Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake) is a plus. - Experience with other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a bonus. - Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is an added advantage (ref:hirist.tech)
