Job Description
Your role
Are you an innovator who loves to solve problems and increase efficiencies and productivity?
We are looking for a trust officer to administer a book of trusts in accordance with fiduciary, statutory, regulatory and internal requirements in the Singapore Trust Company.
The job scope of the trust officer includes :
• reviewing and processing directions / requests from trust related parties e.g., settlors, beneficiaries, protectors in accordance with the terms of the trust deed, applicable organizational policies and procedures, legislative and regulatory requirements
• preparing trustee minutes and directors resolutions for various transactions e.g., opening of bank accounts, revocations, distributions during the course of administering a trust structure
• collaborating with various business functions within the Singapore trust company e.g., New Business Compliance, Client Accounting to provide cross-business support
• providing effective after-sales support to wealth planners, trust relationship managers, client advisors and clients in ensuring the quality of overall client relationship management
• working closely with our in-house Product Offering Team and control functions (Legal, Financial Crime Prevention and Group Tax) to support sensitive and complex transactions during administration of a trust structure
• liaising with external service providers e.g., legal counsel, tax advisor and review the advice obtained, as may be required while administering a trust structure
Your team
You will be working in the Trust Administration team. We are responsible for managing a varied and complex portfolio of trusts for our clients. Our role is to manage, preserve and grow the wealth of our clients. Our team offers solutions for managing wealth, planning for succession, etc.
Your expertise
• at least 5 years of experience in private banking or wealth management, preferably in a similar role
• bachelor's degree in finance / law / accountancy is preferred
• STEP Diploma in International Trust Management qualification / WMI Advanced Certificate in Trust Services is preferred
• good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese to support the Greater China market
• meticulous, organized, innovative, embraces challenges, possesses positive attitude and one with good time management skills
• self-motivated, independent and reliable
• collaborative team member with analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
