Job Description

Minimum Requirements Matric At least three years of retail experience. Proven managerial experience in successfully running and managing a retail store. Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal form. The candidate must be highly proficient in Ms Office tools, specifically Ms Excel, Ms Word, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint. The position requires a person with attention to detail and dedication to the brand of the business. Responsibilities: Directing all operational aspects, including customer service, human resources, administration and sales. Provide training, coaching and contract management for new staff. Drawing up monthly staff schedules and managing monthly overtime and clock-ins. Managing budgets and ensuring all expenses stay within set parameters. Good understanding and passion for animal needs and welfare, able to implement enrichments and improvements as needed or specified by on-site vet. Firm understanding of inventory management and monitoring weekly hazard counts and stock adjustments. Evaluating and maintaining quarterly risk reports. Conduct and attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings with staff and management. Able to adapt and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and enforce it. Able to enforce and implement our company standards. Additional Requirements: The successful candidate will be required to work extended hours at times, for example: Month end, Quarterly stocktakes, and company events. Travelling between branches: Drivers licence with own transport essential. Highly motivated and target-driven, able to achieve and exceed sales objectives. Be dedicated and loyal to the position and company. Must have a clean criminal record
