Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled MongoDB Atlas Database Administrator with good Node.js development experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our MongoDB databases hosted on Atlas, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will also collaborate with our development team to build robust applications and integrate database solutions. Key Responsibilities : Database Management : - Administer MongoDB Atlas clusters, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing improvements as necessary. - Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning. Development Support : - Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and queries. - Develop and maintain Node.js applications that interact with MongoDB databases. - Create and manage APIs for database access and manipulation. Data Integrity and Security : - Implement and enforce data security measures and access controls. - Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, processes, and configurations. - Generate reports on database performance and usage metrics. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience. - Proven experience as a MongoDB Database Administrator particularly with MongoDB Atlas & , MySQL. - Strong proficiency in Node.js development, including experience with Express.js and RESTful APIs. - Solid understanding of database design principles, indexing, and performance optimization techniques. - Experience with version control systems (e., Git) and collaborative development workflows. - Knowledge of data modeling and database architecture best practices. Preferred Qualifications : - Familiarity with other database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) is a plus. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure Cloud) and containerization (Docker). - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
