KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: AIR4 QA point of contact for Virgin Atlantic Airways during DTH business hours Execute daily test environment health check automation suite and report results to key stakeholders within DAL and VAA Analyze and report on status of defects found during test execution to appropriate management and team members to keep them up to date Coordinate and guide support teams for timely resolution of defects Work with the AIR4 QA Program Lead to communicate a unified message to customers and other internal teams about defects impacting their services and applications Act as liaison between Customer and the technical support groups such as QA, DS, product development teams and operations to resolve issues in a timely manner Follow-up on and document full root cause analyses for defects Enhance daily automation test suite with new functionalities Monitor test metrics, problems, trends, to determine solutions, required process changes, etc. Work with a wide variety of technologies from front-end UI to back-end distributed web services Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment Adhering to team and individual key performance indicators (KPIs) Ensure that the Delta standards and procedures are adopted and implemented MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training 3-6 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills Ability to connect with peers, business analysts, and domain experts and the ability to listen to customers and colleagues; convey ideas effectively; prepare written documentation Experience writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in JavaScript, using one of the open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc. Ability to learn and understand any new application and understand inner workings Technology understanding across Mainframe, Midrange, Distributed Systems, and Networks Responsive and detail oriented Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and adhere to turnaround time expectation Proactive in nature with a customer-centric focus Delivers quality work on time, meeting strict deadlines and service level agreements, translates planning into action by following established procedures Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the Airline/Airport domain Experience with Delta Air Lines, special preference to experience with DL IT Knowledge/experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban Experience writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java, C#, Python. Experience with test management and agile management tools such as Agility, qTest etc. Experience of non-functional testing such as performance, load, stress, security, accessibility and usability testing. Knowledge/Experience of working with various AWS cloud services such as EC2, s3 bucket, AWS code pipeline, CloudFormation, etc. Knowledge and experience of DevOps principles and practices
