Sales Representative

Minimum Requirements: Male or Female between 28 - 50 years of age Grade 12 Certificate Valid Drivers License (Own transport) Company will provide a car allowance and petrol allowance. A diploma in sales or a similar qualification would be advantageous. Sales experience in the steel fabrication and construction industry is advantageous Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings. Knowledge of steel products and their applications Strong sales and negotiation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and target-driven mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel within Gauteng and other regions if required. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Mainly bringing in new tenders and new projects. Handling all enquiries, quoting and follow-ups. Building long-term relationships with key customers Managing specific selected accounts Quote on enquiries using SA Steel suppliers. Arrange logistics along with support staff. Ensure increased customer awareness and maintain/increase market share. Ensure optimal growth by providing excellent customer service. Client queries are responded to timeously. Deliveries are followed up on whenever necessary. Customers are visited on a regular basis. Frequent calling on existing clients Responsibilities: Prospect and acquire new clients in the steel industry Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate steel products Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of orders Report the latest industry trends and competitor activities Promote products. Monitor competitor activity. Prepare and present visit plans and reports on a weekly basis.
