Your new jobIn your new role as a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial part in the monthly management reporting process. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts. Your duties will include supporting the preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as well as posting journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist in the audit process and support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts. What you’ll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you should be part-qualified or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with a BA/BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. You will have 2+ years of relevant experience in management accounting or a similar role, with a proven track record in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and organisational abilities are also required. The ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take proactive steps to address them will be key to your success.
