Overview
The Technical Developer I is a team member in the provision of technical development and system design. The TD1 will support the design and creation of technical specifications from functional specifications for complex development projects, analyze the impact of vendor provided updates and upgrades to the system, and programming solutions using the PeopleTools suite, and other tools. This includes modernization of legacy systems, business analytics, and enterprise data environment capabilities.

QualificationsSkills/Qualifications: The ideal addition to our Ohana will be responsive, have excellent technical and data analysis skills, organizational and planning skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, problem analysis, attention to detail and accuracy, solid judgment and decision-making ability, takes initiative and is adaptable and customer service oriented.
Education and Experience: This position prefers a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant business experience. The successful candidate will be entry level to as much as 3 years of professional experience based on technical skills proficiency. Security+ and PS certifications are encouraged for this position.
- Ability to learn and utilize PeopleSoft Enterprise development tools including Application Packages, PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and the Microsoft Office Suite including the possibility of Visio. The candidate must also have the following skills:
- Ability to learn the following reporting tools: PS Query including Connected Queries, Tree Manager, XML Publisher
- Ability to learn one or more PeopleSoft application modules and integration between modules
- Knowledge of SQL, preferably Oracle, including performance tuning, space management, and DML
Clearance: A background investigation at the T3 level is required, as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Work Location: Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia 2 days on-site with a hybrid option.
Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
