About the job : Experience Level : 8 years Location : Chennai (Dubai - Short term Onsite) 1 Summary : We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler with a strong background in Cloud / Azure projects and Credit Risk/Risk Analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling for financial services, particularly in the Credit Risk and Risk Analytics domain. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data models for data marts, warehouses, and lakes using Azure services, ensuring that the models meet both business and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in data modeling tools like Erwin is essential. Key Responsibilities : - Data Modeling : - Lead the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex Credit Risk and Risk Analytics systems using data modeling tools like Erwin (proficiency in such tools is essential). - Develop scalable data models for Data Marts, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes in the Azure ecosystem. - Ensure data models are optimized for large datasets, with a focus on performance, data integrity, and compliance. Domain Expertise : - Collaborate with the Credit Risk and Risk Analytics teams to translate business requirements and regulatory guidelines into data models. Collaboration and Stakeholder -b Management : - Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and SMEs / BAs to ensure seamless integration of data models with data pipelines and reporting systems. - Lead discussions with stakeholders to define data governance strategies, data quality, and regulatory compliance requirements. - Participate in data governance activities, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and security across the organization. Performance Optimization : - Optimize data models to handle large, complex datasets efficiently, ensuring high performance for reporting and analysis. - Work with database administrators to troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimizations. Azure Integration : - Implemented data models using tools and services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks will be a plus Required Skills and Qualifications : - 8 years of experience in Data Modeling, with a focus on the financial services industry, particularly in Credit Risk and Risk Analytics domains. - Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner. - Strong knowledge of SQL for developing and optimizing complex data models. - In-depth experience with Credit Risk & Risk Analytics domain concepts - Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and ensuring integration with data models. - Understanding Azure data services: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, etc will be a plus - Familiarity with data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance in banking and financial services. - Experience with Azure DevOps for managing data model development and deployment pipelines (ref:hirist.tech)
