Data Engineer (Cloud & Ontologies) Job Description : Excelra is hiring for experienced Data Engineer with expertise in ontologies, AWS, Azure, and various data technologies. The role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, working with cloud platforms, and supporting server and application deployment. Roles and Responsibilities : - Cloud Infrastructure : Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure. - Data Pipeline Development : Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). - Data Management : Manage and optimize databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and data warehouses like Amazon Redshift. - Programming & Automation : Use R and Python to develop scripts and applications for data processing, automation, and machine learning models. - Big Data Processing : Utilize Azure Databricks and Apache Spark for distributed data processing and large-scale data handling. - Server & Application Support : Provide support for Posit (formerly RStudio) for server management, application administration, and deployment of notebooks and apps. - Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to meet data requirements and deliver solutions that drive business impact. Requirements : - Strong experience in Data Engineering and ontologies. - Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, R, and Python. - Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and data warehousing (e.g., Redshift). - Proficiency in Azure Databricks and Spark for big data processing. - Ability to support Posit server/application deployment. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
