This positions is 100% ON SITE, NOT REMOTE. We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Administrative Assistant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is solely based on-site and is instrumental in maintaining the smooth running of our health services. As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you will be the backbone of our team, managing various administrative tasks, supporting senior administrative staff, and ensuring efficient workflow within a medical office environment.


Responsibilities:


• Efficiently handling incoming faxes for physicians and ensuring they reach the correct destination within the electronic health records.

• Taking charge of tracking licenses and credentials of medical staff.

• Assisting in preparation for audits or projects, which may include tasks such as making copies and preparing necessary materials.

• Engaging in various tasks to help maintain organization within the office, demonstrating adaptive thinking and working.

• Ensuring follow-ups are done promptly and loops are closed on all tasks.

• Balancing some medical scheduling duties while providing support to the senior administrator.

• Managing office supplies and ensuring the inventory is well stocked.

• Assisting in the preparation of food bags for patients when required.

• Demonstrating proficiency in handling document control tasks, ensuring all necessary records are up-to-date and accessible.

• Using basic medical terminology knowledge to assist in administrative tasks within the medical office.

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in administrative assistance and administrative office procedures
• Strong understanding of basic medical terminology
• Prior experience in a medical office is essential
• Familiarity with document control processes and procedures
• Ability to adhere to confidentiality and data privacy standards
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong customer service skills and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
