Job Description : Function : Software Engineering - QA / SDET Skills : Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Jira, Quality Assurance, Regression Testing We are looking for a meticulous Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of product and business requirements, and who can translate these into comprehensive test cases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a keen eye for detail, and a strong analytical mindset. Responsibilities : - Understanding Product and Business Requirements : Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of product features, functionality, and business requirements. - Test Planning and Design : Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product specifications, business requirements, and user stories. Ensure test coverage across all aspects of the product. - Test Execution : Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and usability. Identify, isolate, document, and track defects through resolution. - Regression Testing : Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality. Develop and maintain regression test suites. - Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with developers and other team members to communicate test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects. Provide feedback on product quality and suggest improvements. - Continuous Improvement : Proactively identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the QA process. Contribute to the refinement of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test results, and defects. Provide clear and concise reports on testing activities and progress. Requirements : - Bachelor's/master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in quality assurance/testing roles, preferably in a software development environment. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. - Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective test cases. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. - Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) is desirable (ref:hirist.tech)
