Location: Melbourne CBD
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Temporary (October 2024 - December 2024, with potential to extend)

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Injury and Wellness Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for managing the WorkCover Self-Insurance licence, overseeing early intervention programs, and administering WorkCover claims. This role also involves providing support in the return-to-work process for both work-related and non-work-related injuries, illnesses, and conditions.

You will act as the point of escalation for complex injury and wellness cases, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with self-insurance and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the WorkCover Self-Insurance licence


• Lead the early intervention strategy and program


• Administer and manage WorkCover claims


• Assist in the return-to-work process for injured or ill employees (work and non-work related)


• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex injury and wellness matters


• Ensure compliance with self-insurance regulations and government policies

Skills and Experience Required:

• Essential: Previous experience as an Injury and Wellness Manager


• Proven background in self-insurance and claims management


• Strong experience in managing early intervention programs


• Prior experience within the government sector is essential
