What you'll be doing
This Executive Assistant role supports the Emergency Department at Westmead Hospital, providing essential administrative and clerical services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing rosters for medical and nursing staff.
- Supporting senior leaders with high-level admin tasks.
- Coordinating meetings and venue bookings.
- Handling recruitment processes.
- Making independent decisions confidently.
- Ensuring efficient office management.

Selection Criteria
- Pleasant telephone manner, ability to screen calls and ascertain most appropriate staff member to respond to caller.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the day-to-day requirements of the position, and changes in priorities.
- Ability to self-direct and effectively manage the workflow of the position.
- Ability to work co-operatively with a wide range of people from varying professions and backgrounds.
- Experience in preparing papers, arranging meetings, taking and distributing minutes for a range of committees and meetings.
- Experience in managing diaries for a range of professional staff along with a good understanding of the Registration process for Junior Medical Officers.
- Experience in using the standard MS Office package (including Word, Excel, MS teams, PowerPoint and Outlook), HPE, Health roster and preferably to have knowledge with Cerner Power chart.
- Ability to prepare and manage a sustainable roster for medical and nursing staff.
