The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a focused and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as a Dispatch Officer. You will be responsible for the successful dispatching cases to field crews using our clients management system. Providing maintenance on the Sewer and Water Network across the Greater Western Water Network. Our client is one of Melbourne's largest and most successful Water Retailers. This position is based at Brooklyn.

Key responsibilities

• Rotating shift pattern


• 12 hour days and 12 hour nights shifts.


• Managing allocation of reactive and planned works.


• DBYD Assessments


• Operational support

Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills and customer service skills;


• Ability to handle a high volume of calls;


• Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize their own workload effectively; and to liaise with various levels within the business;


• The ability to identify areas for process improvement;


• Awareness of and a strong commitment to OH&S procedures and standards;


• The ability to investigate and resolve issues;


• Intermediate Microsoft office skills (predominantly Excel);


• The ability to work with limited supervision, either individually or in a team environment;


• Previous scheduling experience and experience in the Water Industry will be highly regarded. FOCUS 3 (Clarity) Program also highly regarded.
