We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on some large projects portfolio in the mining industry.

This role is an initial 12-month contract with possible extensions and are based in the heart of the Perth CBD. There is the potential for some work from home, as well as the potential for occasional site visits.
In terms of requirements, this role would suit someone that has extensive experience working in a similar Senior Mechanical Engineer role previously, and with experience using Discrete Element Modelling.
Specifically, we are seeking candidates with:
- Min 7 years experience in the mining sector
- Familiar / proficient with Rocky DEM software
- Develop concept material transfer designs
- Undertake site visits to liaise with Clients and develop scopes of work
- Review existing problematic transfers and develop solutions
- Interact with other engineering disciplines, identifying inputs required
- Experience with typical mechanical handling systems and equipment (conveyors, transfer chutes, stackers, reclaimers, train load out)
