A fantastic opportunity exists for Health and Security Assistants to join our team on a Casual basis working across both Blue Mountains and Springwood Hospitals. The team is experienced, with an environment that fosters a culture of learning and risk minimisation approach towards safe care.

Your position as Health and Security Assistant will see you maintain a high standard of security and documentation of events. The successful candidate will assist with the management of aggressive and/or difficult patients and visitors, respond to alarm signals to ensure a safe and secure work environment for staff, patients and visitors.

The position will also undertake cleaning duties to a professional standard and per the local cleaning schedule and in accordance to Ministry of Health Standards and Procedures. This includes terminal cleans, high cleaning, outside cleaning and removal of soiled linen to ensure infection control and quality standards are met.

What you will bring to the role:

1. Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A)
2. Recent experience working in a Hospital Security Officer or Health and Security Assistant role
3. Ability and willingness to work shift work, unsupervised and as part of a team
4. Demonstrated sound, written and verbal communication skills
5. Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality principles
6. Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
7. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
8. Current First Aid Certificate
