About Us
Our client a multinational electronics company, is known for its range of communication products with their durability, reliability, and advanced features, providing wireless communications products and systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their Sydney office.
About the role:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve communication business objectives and key results.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the LGA sector and other targeted industries.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with the dealer channel by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Manage and mentor regional sales Dealer Managers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge for success.
- Lead and oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, including participation in tenders and partnerships.
- Collaborate with the National Technical Manager to create compelling sales solutions and systems for projects.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze metrics, and report on sales activities and results.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
- Support customer service improvement programs aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with the Sales Operations Manager on division budgets, expenses, and financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Managing Director on business performance, market conditions, and other relevant metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations while managing risks associated with operations.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior sales role such as National Sales Manager, Public Safety Sales Manager, or similar positions.
- Familiarity with the telecommunications industry, including two-way communication systems like DMR, P25, and government frequency bands.
- Strong channel management skills.
- Proven track record in sales of communication solutions.
- Confidence in handling technical concepts within the two-way radio industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues with strong presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Tenacious work ethic and a collaborative team player.
- Effective negotiation skills to manage diverse customer needs.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Highly innovative, proactive, and adaptable to varied tasks.
- Willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally.
