- We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Aboriginal employment lead to join our supportive and inclusive team.
- You’ll be making a meaningful impact on the employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- This is a temporary, grade 9/10 role until 30 June 2025, based in Martin Place with flexible work arrangements available, with potential for extension.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity until 30 June 2025, within the People Culture and Talent team.
As the Senior Advisor Aboriginal Employment, you will drive the development and implementation of policies, initiatives, and programs within the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy Action Plan.
You will play a key role in innovating how we attract, recruit, develop, and retain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and how we build organisational cultural capability and inclusive workplaces.

You. Our ideal candidate.- You’re Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and have a strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
- You have demonstrated experience in implementing employment strategies and initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal service skills.
- You have the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- You have high level project management skills and can use technology to support your work.

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
