What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to collaborate closely with the El Car Wash business teams and our Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and oversight of IT policies, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring the security, compliance, and efficient operation of both on-premise and cloud-based environments. The IT Manager will play a key role in managing the technical infrastructure, compliance protocols, and user access to business-critical applications. Additionally, this position oversees Microsoft 365, network infrastructure, help desk services, and the onboarding/offboarding of technology across company locations.
- IT Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap by partnering with key business units such as Finance, HR, Training, and Real Estate to ensure alignment with corporate goals and initiatives.
- Policy Design & IT Governance: Design and enforce policies governing IT infrastructure, focusing on both cloud and on-premise systems. Ensure proper security measures and compliance with data privacy regulations across the network, Microsoft 365, and other applications.
- User Access & Compliance: Manage and audit user access controls, ensuring regular security and deactivation reviews meet audit standards and support data privacy compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve technology, governance, and resource efficiency. Document and communicate these improvements to drive the organization’s technological advancements.
- Change Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead and communicate IT-driven changes, ensuring cross-functional alignment and support for new initiatives. Partner with stakeholders to integrate corporate strategy into high-level project plans and report on progress.
- Network & Help Desk Oversight: Provide oversight of the network infrastructure and help desk operations in collaboration with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and MSP.
- Security training: Along with our MSP, manage KnowBe4 security training platform to promote continuous security awareness.
- Business Partnership: Proactively engage with business teams to understand IT needs and priorities. Provide leadership and ensure successful coordination of IT projects that support business objectives. Provide onboarding of new staff to understand Technology within El Car Wash.
- Budget Management: Experienced in managing IT budget including, application, hardware, SaaS, MSP, software license spend and compliance to budget.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate IT vendor relationships to ensure delivery of services, compliance with contracts, and cost-effective solutions.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Information Systems, IT, or a related field. Relevant certifications in IT Governance/Infrastructure are preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years in IT and infrastructure management, with hands-on experience in network, security, help desk, and risk-based analysis.
- Exceptional multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a high-demand environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address process inefficiencies.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
