The mission of the Medical Office Manager is to continue the current culture of customer service experience and excellence by continually optimizing the training and working conditions at each of the Centers for Neurosurgery, Spine, and Orthopedics.
A great Medical Office Manager should have strong leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate their team members to efficiently complete their tasks. They should also have effective communication abilities since they’re regularly greeting customers and interacting with both non-medical and medical personnel. Strong problem-solving skills are also preferred in ideal candidates, as they must help their team members quickly and logically solve complex administrative issues as they arrive.
The Medical Office Manager must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Evaluating staff performance.
Scheduling staff for their work.
Establishing office policies and procedures.
Working with vendors to get needed equipment and supplies for the medical practice.
Excellent customer service skills.
Data management and organizational skills.
Experience delegating and supervising office tasks for staff, preferably in a medical setting.
Clerical training and experience.
Ability to communicate with people with various levels of medical knowledge in both written and verbal forms.
Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Computer software proficiency.
Ability to Multitask.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with Practitioners, MA staff, administrative staff, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public of all age levels.
Constant communication with direct manager on a daily basis.
Responsible for staff coverage.
Ensure the office technology is fully functional.
Other responsibilities as needed.
