As a Commercial HVAC Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our HVAC service operations for commercial clients. In addition to managing the service department, you will also be required to work in the field, ensuring that all HVAC systems are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. This is a hands-on management role that combines technical expertise with leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial HVAC service, including hands-on fieldwork and managerial responsibilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team of HVAC technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting HVAC blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety practices in the HVAC industry.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work assignments, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid HVAC technician certification and relevant licenses required.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to HVAC service management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of HVAC technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize field service operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
  • Conduct field inspections, diagnose system issues, and provide effective solutions for repairs or replacements.
  • Perform hands-on HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance tasks as needed. (Tier 2 Support)
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all service operations.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their service requirements and expectations, ensuring alignment with company capabilities.
  • Procure necessary equipment, tools, and materials required for efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, invoices, and customer communications.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging best practices in commercial HVAC systems.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on field service operations, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
