Job Description
Are you a skilled Fabric Engineer with expertise in high-spec commercial environments and a strong background in passive fire protection? We're partnering with a leading facilities management firm to find a proactive and detail-oriented Fabric Engineer to join a prestigious high-rise building in Central London.
About the Role:
As a Fabric Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the operational and aesthetic standards of this high-spec building are maintained. This is a permanent, on-site position where you'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the building's structural components, with a strong emphasis on passive fire safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, focusing on all building fabric aspects such as walls, ceilings, doors, and furnishings.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with passive fire protection standards and complete remedial works where required.
Collaborate with the M&E and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all building elements.
Adhere to safety regulations and proactively address potential issues related to fire integrity and overall structural safety.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and uphold documentation related to fire safety inspections and repairs.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer in a high-spec or commercial setting.
Formal qualification in passive fire protection or demonstrable experience in fire safety installations and compliance.
Knowledge of building safety standards, with the ability to identify and address issues related to fire safety and structural integrity.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger facilities team.
