Job Description:

- Assume responsibility and accountability for the management of rational antibiotic therapy or management of critical care or high-risk patients.
- Provide collaboration and consultation with other health professionals on the therapeutic use of antibiotics or other medications.
- Offer education and training for health professionals involved in this clinical forum.
- Improve the monitoring and management of the clinical pharmacy antibiotic service or critical care or high-risk groups to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
- Promote the development of pharmacy staff through clinical leadership and education.
- Work collegially with others to achieve organizational objectives, establish common ground, build shared goals, and encourage new ideas.
- Generate creative approaches and new ideas to improve performance, service, and quality.
- Take personal responsibility for work activities and actions, including following through on commitments and implementing decisions.
- Demonstrate understanding and sensitivity towards others by treating people with courtesy and respect.
- Foster collaboration and trust among colleagues and departments, building a positive work environment aligned with the organization's mission and values.
- Maintain open dialogue by actively listening and responding positively to requests, questions, and suggestions.
- Share information in a timely manner to keep others adequately informed.
- Practice cost containment measures.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including dress code, behavioral standards, and customer service expectations, while meeting mandatory in-services and attendance standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary or ambulatory for extended periods, perform difficult manipulative arm-hand steadiness, and possess hand-eye coordination skills.
- Ability to focus on fine detail with interruptions and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time.
- Capability to understand theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given throughout the day.
- Ability to detect, interpret, and judge objects up close and at a distance.
- Potential exposure to necessary chemicals, with safety procedures and resources available through the organization's database.

Primary Population Served:
- Neonatal to geriatric populations
- Patients with exceptional communication needs, developmental delays, isolation precautions, end-of-life care, cultural needs, or weight-related comorbidities
- Non-patient care populations
