Your new role
Hays are working with an organisation in Bristol who are looking for a temporary Accounts Assistant on a 3-6 month basis. Due to the nature of the role being temporary, they are looking for candidates who are immediately available to start. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours. Pay is dependent on your level of experience. Hybrid working is available. Key responsibilities include:
Checking the accounts and sales ledger
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
Manage petty cash expenses for employees
Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports
Supporting the preparation of accounts for the month end
Supporting the purchase ledger as and when requiredWhat you'll need to succeed
AAT qualified or equivalent
Strong bookkeeping skills
Previous experience working in a similar role within a busy finance department
Ability to multitask
Advanced knowledge of Excel
