Governance Administration Officer
Temporary / Full Time (until April 2026)
Location – Regional
$78,456 to $91,341 per annum
The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Whitsunday region offers a dynamic environment and is perfectly placed to live, work, play and invest.
The Role
An exciting opportunity exists within our Governance and Administration branch for a temporary Governance Administration Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support for Council Meeting services and Governance functions as required.
Essential
C Class Manual Drivers Licence.
Understanding of meeting process and practice.
Demonstrated ability to work within tight timeframes and regularly monitor deliverables.
Demonstrated experience in the ability to source cooperation from other officers and management to achieve objectives.
A demonstrated ability to improve and enhance processes and practices, and to add value to a team, while working independently under broad direction and meet strict deadline.
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
Desirable
Experience in Local Government.
Formal Training in Business Administration.
