Permanent Full Time
$58K - $60K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking an energetic Labourer to be an effective member of a road construction and/ or maintenance team delivering valued outcomes in accordance with industry standards. This position will carry out general labouring duties across road construction and maintenance operations, including concrete and drainage work, road construction and maintenance work on sealed and unsealed roads, and maintenance of various infrastructure. The successful applicant will be required to have proven experience performing labouring duties operating/ maintaining small plant and equipment, work effectively in a team environment and have sound communication, literacy andnumeracy skills.
Additional Factors
Participation in after hours and weekend work is a requirement of this position
Level of fitness required to undertake a broad range of physical tasks
Working outdoors in hot conditions
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence.
General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card).
Desirable Qualifications
Plant/Truck licences (MR, HR, HC) or other operationally relevant tickets.
First Aid Certificate.
Traffic Control Ticket (Level 1).
