Knots Rugs is one of the UK’s leading hand knotted rug companies, based out of our showroom on the Kings Road in London. We are known for our innovation and commitment to a high art aesthetic. We are seeking a new UK Trade Sales Manager to help further our growth in the UK market, sourcing new contacts and opportunities within the industry and bringing to the table a healthy existing database of A+D contacts working in the high-end luxury sector.
You will need a proven record of sales within the luxury sector. Knowledge and experience of the high-end market and luxury products is a must. You will be working closely with the in-house team developing strategies in order to achieve and go beyond sales targets and be capable of thinking outside the box to develop new business opportunities and partnerships.
You must be an excellent communicator, confident of interacting with clients and managing projects and expectations. As part of a small team you will also contribute to the logistical aspects of the company, showroom up keep and help running its day to day affairs.
Fluent in Microsoft Office is a must. Skills in Adobe and CAD, whilst not mandatory, would be an advantage.
Duties/responsibilities:
Must have proven sales record, with the ability to manage, develop and service existing accounts as well as identify and convert new account opportunities to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Seek out and build new relationships within the UK Interior Design community, including networking industry events for new contacts and leads.
Be pro-active in seeking out potential opportunities and business through designers Social Media/LinkedIn accounts.
Develop extensive product knowledge in order to be able to advise clients on all aspects of rug qualities, materials, options and possibilities.
Co-ordinate with design team to present custom options for bespoke projects.
Communicate with sample library manager to keep on top of all incoming and outgoing samples.
Provide excellent customer support and follow up where needed after project completion.
Manage Sales Pipeline and reports.
Be willing to work as a team to provide the very best service to prospective customers in order to maximise sales opportunities.
Assist in the showroom and be willing and able to handle rugs.
Qualities:
A self-starter with proven success in selling in the UK trade market.
Impeccable verbal and written communication.
Fluent in MS Office and CRM programs.
Fluency in Adobe and CAD, with design skills, an advantage but not mandatory.
Experience and awareness of the luxury Interiors/ Rugs industry
Knowledge of building brands
Strong time management and organisational skills
Strong administrative skills with a high attention to detail
Energy, drive and passion to succeed.
A positive can-do attitude and a team player
Ability to work with deadlines, towards sales targets and prioritise work.
Social media awareness, in order to develop connections with Interior Designers and Commercial Opportunities.
Terms:
Full time (but would consider part time depending on candidate and experience)
Salary: £45k plus bonus/commission structure
Place of Work: Kings Road showroom and out bound visits.
