Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in leading and managing the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring all dishes are executed to perfection and according to established recipes and standards
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu development, costing, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail in all aspects of the culinary operation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior role in a professional kitchen environment
- Culinary qualification from a recognized culinary institution preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
