Job Title: Business Analyst with BSS / OSS & Rodod Location: Bangalore Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days Max. Interview Rounds : 2- 3 Rounds Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a deep understanding of telecom Business Support Systems (BSS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), and Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of overall experience, with at least five years dedicated to business analysis in the telecom industry, focusing on BSS and BRM systems. This role requires a proactive analyst with strong business and technical acumen who can bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities : - Telecom BSS/OSS and BRM Analysis : Lead the analysis and optimization of telecom operations, specifically in Business Support Systems (BSS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), and Billing and Revenue Management (BRM). Understand the intricacies of telecom billing, revenue generation, and customer management systems to recommend improvements and enhancements. - Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders-including senior leadership, project managers, developers, and clients-to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable insights, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Requirements Gathering & Documentation : Conduct in-depth requirements gathering sessions, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders to develop detailed requirement documentation, user stories, and process maps. Use these insights to guide project planning, prioritization, and decision-making. - Data Analysis & Problem Solving : Utilize advanced data analysis methodologies and tools to evaluate business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimized solutions. Conduct root cause analyses to resolve system issues and streamline processes, increasing efficiency and operational effectiveness. - RODOD Principles : Apply RODOD (Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery) principles and practices to optimize the development and deployment of telecom services. Understanding and leveraging these principles is highly desirable for this role, as they are integral to ensuring efficient, agile responses to market needs. - Telecom Billing & Revenue Management : Work with internal and external teams to ensure seamless billing processes, from customer account creation to revenue management and collection. Apply industry best practices to minimize revenue leakage, manage outstanding accounts, and enhance customer satisfaction. - Project Management Collaboration : Support project managers by contributing to project planning, timelines, and resource allocation. While familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall is a plus, the emphasis is on ensuring projects remain within scope, on schedule, and aligned with stakeholder expectations. Key Qualifications : - Experience : Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including 5 years as a Business Analyst in the telecom industry with a focus on BSS and BRM systems. - Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or certification in Business Analysis or Project Management would be advantageous. - Telecom Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of telecom-specific processes, including telecom operations, billing cycles, customer relationship management, revenue assurance, and order fulfillment. - Analytical Skills : Proficient in using data analysis tools (such as Excel, SQL, Tableau) and methodologies to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data and make data-driven recommendations. - RODOD Principles : Familiarity with Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery (RODOD) principles is highly desirable, as this role will benefit from leveraging these practices to support rapid and accurate service design and delivery. - Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and executives. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach are essential. - Project Management Familiarity : Knowledge of project management tools (such as Jira, MS Project, or Asana) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is a plus, supporting the Business Analyst's ability to work effectively within cross-functional project teams.
