As a Pilot at Les Bateaux Belmond, you'll be the Pilot of a luxurious vessel, navigating the scenic waterways of France. Your expertise and skill will ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, as you guide them through unforgettable journeys. As a Pilot, you'll be responsible for the safety and well-being of your vessel and its passengers. Your leadership and decision-making skills will be put to the test, as you navigate challenges and ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey for all.

Seasonal position from April to October 2025.

Mandatory Induction week from March 24th, 2025.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

1. Navigating daily according to the transmitted route
2. Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat on a daily basis, using biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products to minimize environmental impact.
3. Working as a team with the Matelot, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them develop their skills and grow professionally.
4. Ensuring that all boat equipment is maintained in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues. Ensure that all equipment and systems are operating efficiently to reduce energy consumption.

RequirementsWhat You Bring:

1. You need to be able to cruise on Canals and Rivers: Canal du Centre, Saône, Canal de Bourgogne, Rhône for example
2. Friendly and approachable attitude; ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, and work well within a team
3. Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
4. French and English language proficiency
